Our flagship sourdough bread-making kit has all the tools and instructions needed to make a beautiful, thick-crusted, tangy loaf of sourdough bread at home. The kit comes in a beautifully branded gift box making it a great gift to any foodie or loved one. The kit includes some of our 8-year-old sourdough culture named ‘Eve’, which you can activate within a few days to make your first sourdough loaf of bread. The kit includes the following:

Round (25cm) or Oval (30cm) banneton (proving basket) with liner – This allows you to craft uniformly shaped artisan loaves with or without the liner for either a smooth or decorative ring finish.

Banneton cleaning brush – Once you’ve finished using the proving basket, you’ll be able to clean out any excess flour with the specially designed curved banneton brush.

Flexible dough scraper – The flexible dough scraper allows you to loosen and handle the dough easily and efficiently.

Metal bench scraper – Our stainless steel bench scraper can be used to loosen/scrape the dough during shaping and also cut larger batches of dough into loaf sizes.

Decorative round wooden scoring tool – Used for scoring the dough before baking to allow better expansion during baking and also creates a nice decorative pattern.

Dehydrated sourdough culture – The kit includes a packet of dehydrated sourdough culture named ‘Eve’. You’ll find the instructions on how to activate and use the culture in the kit instructions booklet.

Sourdough kit instructions/recipe booklet – You will receive a beautiful 8-page booklet with instructions on how to activate, use, and maintain the sourdough culture. You will also get a simple sourdough bread recipe to follow.

Gift Box – Our sourdough bread-making kit comes in a  gift box making it a great gift to any foodie or loved one.

We strive to get your order to you as fast and efficiently as possible. Products ordered online can be shipped to any location in South Africa

We charge a flat shipping fee of R90 per order. Free shipping for all orders over R1500!

Orders that contain backordered items will only be shipped once all order items are in stock. If you would like us to ship the in-stock items you will need to pay an extra R90 shipping charge.

Shipping times – Times vary according to location.

Major hubs (JHB, CPT, and DBN) are typically 2 – 3 working days from the time of despatch.

Outlying areas can take 3 – 5 working days from the time of despatch.

Orders are generally processed and despatched within 1-2 working days from the time of order, excluding weekends. Once your order has been processed and shipped, you will receive an email with your package tracking details.

Local Collection (Gauteng only) – We have moved to a new facility in Melville, JHB. Currently, the collection will only be available upon request and by appointment.

    Eve is growing very well and all the equipment works well and it’s nice to have a brush to clean the banneton. I changed the position of the blade in the dough scorer to be perpendicular to the centre rather than the parallel as seen in the photo and it works so much better now!
